Dear John

There is nothing I love more than crappy sappy movies that make me tear up a little... well this movie sucked.

I'll lead with saying I love the Notebook...

We've got the classic case of boy meets girl, boy and girl fall in love right away, boy has to go away OBVIOUSLY, they think about their love from far away and then girl breaks up with boy because she's stupid

This movie didn't even make me that sad, the only thing that made me sad was the dad in the movie.

if you want to watch a movie and not be sad, and maybe be a little angry, then you should watch it

but don't waste your money.

When In Rome

This movie surprised me!

Julie and I laughed so much while seeing this movie, we were pleasantly surprised!

This movie is super awkward and has a great cast, as long as you can ignore jon heder.

she goes to rome for her sisters wedding and steals coins from a fountain and meets a guy, the only thing is when you take coins our of the fountain of love, there is a spell that makes the person who wished on the coin fall in love with whoever picks it out.. yeah it sounds stupid... but it was hilarious!

highly recommended for a laugh

I love Daniel Day-Lewis, holy shit.

I didn't know much about this movie going into it, but I did know that it had an all star cast of babes and some singing. I saw this movie with my mother and I have to say, it was very excellent.

This movie is the story of Italian director Guido Contini who has made 6 world famous movies and 2 major flops is trying to make his 9th film, with a life full of sex and infidelity he struggles with trying to keep everything together and to make a comeback. Along the way the women that have molded Guido's life come to him in song form. When his wife finally has enough, you see Guido slowly start to realize what he's losing.

There is some singing, some laughs, some sad moments and a lot of scantily clad women in this movie.

Up in the Air

I found this movie to be pleasantly surprising. I'm not a huge fan of George Clooney in general but I really enjoyed his performance in this movie. This movie has been talked about a lot recently, some calling it the best movie of 09... I think that's too bold but I did enjoy it.

This book turned movie is about a guy who's job is to be hired by other corporations to come in and fire their employees. Albeit a sad idea, it gives this guy something to look forward to, hitting 10 million miles flown. He happens to meet a woman who also flies a lot for her job... but here's the kicker, that little thing called telecommuting starts to take over his world. A fresh face new hire has come up with a sure fire way, (get it) to fire people over the internet.
The story has a good amount of laughs, makes you feel down right sad, and a little dirty.
With the inclusion of Danny McBride, you know things will be alright.

I'd say this is a good movie to go see.

The Invention of Lying

I love Ricky Gervais, this man has proven himself with bringing us such wonderful television like The Office and Extras, but this movie fell flat. I was left bored and unamused. I hate to say that!

When I heard about the movie I thought only good things, I mean Ricky Gervais with Tina Fey, Jennifer Garner and a guest appearance by Martin Starr!... I was bound to enjoy myself.

A man who is short, plump and not wealthy lives in a world where people cannot tell lies, he some how breaks the rules and lies to his mother who is ill, his life then spirals into a world where he is the mouth piece for a 'Higher Being'... I mean come on, this has comedy written all over it... sike.

I only found Tina Fey and Ricky Gervais to be funny in the movie, and even then it was seldom. I could make a joke about not being able to lie to you about this movie because of the subject, but that would just be ridiculous.

New York, I Love You

I knew nothing about this movie before seeing the movie poster at the theatre, I chose to see it with two girl friends because of the BIG cast.

I would compare this movie to Love Actually in the way that there are multiple story lines (11 I believe) in which they all intertwine.. Some are humorous, one I found to be creepy, one I found to be confusing and some of the others were more dramatic, but don't worry, all of them were romantic!

I found this movie to be so interesting, the 11, 10 minute stories were all written, produced and directed by different people. It's said that the various filmmakers were asked to adhere to three guidelines: They had only 24 hours to shoot, a week to edit and needed to give the sense of a particular neighborhood.
